Regardless of our efforts to convince everybody and ourselves in multipolarity of contemporary world, the history of art is still generally Europe-centric. This is especially true in post-Soviet countries, where it is associated with historic and geopolitical reasons. Interpretation and rethinking of European art by Kazakhstani artists is a large and interesting segment requiring a phenomenological approach. This exhibition is the first attempt of such analysis.
