In this project, an ordinary citizen plays a role of a seeker of a precious place in the city. Upon discovery, participants lead artists, whose eyes are covered, to their chosen spots. People perceive 90% of information through eyes, making sight the most familiar way of perception. What, then, would happen if we try to discern the world in a different way? The artists do not see the picked places until the end. They are listening to participants and, based on their descriptions and impressions, the artists make up a picture and produce their work.
Gulnur Kulkybayeva, idea author and curator, states that "this experiment is about how one person's vision can influence another person's perception as well as how the same sounds remind people of different things. It also emphasizes particular periods of artists' lives at the moment of this 'travel'. We pay attention not only to spaces but also to people who surround us and inhibit those spaces, each of whom is a big world him- or her-self."
